Who are we? What do we do?
We're a small IT and Data Science consultancy and we create bespoke analyses and software tools tailored to your requirements. We provide solutions using the programming languages Python, R and SQL, together with Microsoft Excel. We can also provide advice and guidance on the design of your existing spreadsheet-based models and tools.
And if you want to make a longer-term investment in your business, we also provide mentoring in software development and model design.
Broadly, we do this:

We can create bespoke software tools for those niche jobs you sometimes have, the ones where it's not clear how you even start or where you can go for help.
We provide advice and training on the design of Excel spreadsheets – financial models, business analysis, collecting and cleansing data, user forms, and anything else you might need.
We can improve your existing spreadsheets by tidying their structure and making them conform to design standards. This includes any VBA they might contain.
We can enrich your existing spreadsheets with extra functionality.
We can create spreadsheets to your specification – whether simple or complex, financial or otherwise.
We create complete applications – typically smaller tactical applications for PC/laptop for very specific purposes.

You get a better tool. Consider spreadsheets. You might think that creating one is just another part of a typical job and anyone can do it. But creating a well-designed spreadsheet is a form of software development and as such it benefits from using established software design principles. These principles have evolved over several decades and you really shouldn't disregard them. Applying them makes a spreadsheet clearer, easier to understand, easier to modify, easier to extend and, very importantly, it reduces the chance of making mistakes. You get a richer tool. We can often add extra functionality – things you may not even have thought of. With our wide experience of software design and technical techniques (covering everything from databases to financial models to simulations of balls of plasma) we can add extra value to your models. And by applying good design principles, we do this without making your models more complicated than they need to be.
